Terms of service
Effective 1 November 2026. These terms are a binding agreement between you and the operator of Rare Vault, Israel ("Rare Vault", "we", "us"). By creating an account, adding credit, opening a pack, selling a card back, listing or buying on the market, or requesting a shipment, you accept them. If you don't agree, don't use the site.
1. Read this first. Opening a pack is a purchase whose result is decided by chance. You cannot choose the card you receive. Most cards are worth less than the pack price; a smaller number are worth more. Card values move with the market. The average value we show is an estimate, not a promised return. The sell-back offer lasts only for the period shown. Every completed pack gives you exactly one real card; there is no empty result. Use Rare Vault for collecting and fun, and only with money you can afford to spend. The service may not be lawful or available where you are, and you are responsible for checking.
2. Who can use Rare Vault. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if higher, and able to enter a contract. You use the site for yourself, with your own payment methods and lawful funds, and you are not subject to sanctions. The service is not offered to people located or resident in [Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russian-occupied regions of Ukraine] or any other place where we say it is unavailable. Using a VPN, proxy or false address to get around a restriction is not allowed and can lead to account closure.
3. Your account. One account per person. Keep your sign-in email secure and tell us at once about any unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity on your account unless it was caused by a security failure on our side. We may link and restrict duplicate or coordinated accounts.
4. What a pack is. A pack is a purchase of one trading card selected at random from the machine's published list of cards. Before you buy, each machine shows its price, the cards it can contain with their values, and the chance of each value colour. The result is fixed by the provably-fair draw described under Odds & fairness, using the machine's state at the moment the purchase is accepted. When the draw completes, the card is recorded to your account and is yours.
5. Catalogue cards and how we deliver them. Card images are catalogue images that identify the card; they are not photos of the copy you will receive. Many cards are bought from established marketplace sellers when you ask us to ship them. We deliver the exact card listed (same set, number, language and printing) in the condition stated, Near Mint unless the card says otherwise. If we cannot obtain it within 21 days of your request, you choose: we keep searching, or we credit 100% of its value at the time of your request to your withdrawable balance.
6. Values. Card values are our good-faith estimate of current market value, based on recent sales and listings from third-party marketplaces, and are refreshed regularly. We value conservatively: for ungraded cards we use the lower of the TCGplayer market price and the Cardmarket trend price (never more than 20% below TCGplayer), so the values you see are prices you could realistically sell at. They are not appraisals, offers to buy (except the sell-back offer) or financial advice, and may differ from prices elsewhere. For everything on Rare Vault, the value of a card is the value shown at the moment of the transaction. We may ignore market data that looks stale, manipulated or wrong.
7. Sell-back offer. After a pull we offer to buy the card back at the percentage of its value shown (85–93% depending on the machine). The offer is a separate purchase by us, not part of the pack, lasts 7 days, and may be withdrawn before you accept it if we find a fraud, pricing, technical or legal problem. Accepted sell-backs are final. Proceeds go to your withdrawable balance, except cards obtained with promotional credit, whose proceeds return as pack credit. After the offer expires the card stays yours; we are not obliged to make a new offer.
8. Pack credit and withdrawable balance. When you add funds you buy pack credit: prepaid credit that can be used for packs, shipping, the shop and Vault Club. Card payments are processed on our payment provider's secure page (we never see your card details) and carry the processing fee shown before you pay; bank transfers carry no fee and are credited when the money reaches us, using the reference we give you. A payment made while you are self-excluded is not credited and is refunded. It is not money, is not a deposit, earns no interest, and is not refundable or withdrawable except where the law requires or for a duplicate charge caused by our error. Sell-back and market proceeds go to your withdrawable balance, which you can withdraw subject to Verification & payouts. Balances are amounts we owe you under these terms; they are held in our operating accounts and are not protected by a deposit-guarantee scheme.
9. Promotions. Free packs, daily gifts, rank rewards and other promotional credit have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and may expire after 30 days without account activity (we email you 7 days before). Promotional credit opens packs only: it cannot pay shipping fees or marketplace purchases. Cards pulled with promotional credit may be kept, shipped or sold back, and sell-back proceeds stay promotional pack credit; they cannot be listed for sale. Daily gifts and check-in streaks unlock after your first deposit. One account per person and household. Specific promotions may have their own rules. Where the law requires, a free method of entry will be offered.
10. Purchases are final. When you open a pack you ask us to perform the draw immediately, and to the extent the law allows, your right to cancel ends once the card is revealed. A result below the pack price, a change in market value or an expired sell-back offer are not grounds for a refund. This does not limit your rights if a card is counterfeit, materially misdescribed, not delivered, or charged without your authority.
11. Errors and outages. If a technical failure happens before a draw completes, we may retry, cancel and restore your credit, or give you a replacement pack. If the draw completed but the reveal was delayed, the recorded result stands. We may correct obvious errors such as a misplaced decimal, a duplicate credit or an impossible allocation, restoring both sides to where they were. We will never reverse a valid result because it was unusually good or bad for either side.
12. Market. You may list cards you own that came from paid packs. The seller is the listing user; we provide the platform and update ownership. We charge a 5% fee to the seller on completed sales. Sales are binding when recorded. We do not guarantee a listing will sell. To prevent money moving between accounts, a listing can be priced at most 150% of the card's market value, and sale proceeds paid from a buyer's deposit can be used on the site at once but withdrawn only after 14 days. We may cancel trades that look like transfers between related accounts.
13. Not allowed. Bots or automation; multiple accounts; exploiting bugs (report them to us); manipulating prices or trading with yourself; abusing promotions; chargebacks without contacting us first; using payment methods that are not yours; laundering money; getting around limits, verification or location checks; interfering with the draw or the site. We may suspend accounts, cancel affected transactions and recover costs. Cleared balances and cards you own lawfully are not forfeited for inactivity.
14. Chargebacks. Please contact us before disputing a payment. If a payment is reversed, we may reverse the related credit, hold or cancel transactions bought with it, and recover the amount owed.
15. Dormant accounts. After 180 days with no activity we will email you twice, the first time at least 14 days before acting. If the account stays inactive we may convert cards you hold into withdrawable balance at the standard sell-back rate. Your balance remains yours.
16. No investment. Cards are collectibles; their prices can fall and they may be hard to sell. Nothing on Rare Vault is investment, tax or legal advice or a promise of profit. You are responsible for your own taxes; we may ask for tax information and report payouts where the law requires.
17. Intellectual property. Pokémon and all related names, images and trademarks belong to Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK and The Pokémon Company. Rare Vault is an independent reseller of genuine cards, not affiliated with or endorsed by them; names and images are used only to identify the cards we sell.
18. Liability. The site is provided as available. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for market movements. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or for a lost card its value immediately before the loss. Nothing limits liability that cannot legally be limited, or your mandatory consumer rights.
19. Changes. We may change prices, odds, machines and these terms. Material changes are announced by email or on the site before they take effect and never affect purchases already made. You may be asked to accept new terms before your next pack.
20. Law and disputes. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have jurisdiction, without removing protections you have under the mandatory law of your country. Before going to court, write to support@rarevaultcards.com with your account email, the transaction and what you are asking for; we answer within 14 days.
Odds & fairness
Published odds. Every machine shows, before you pay, the value range and the chance of each colour (Silver, Green, Blue, Red, Gold), how many cards it holds, the typical pull, the chance of beating the pack price, and the average value. A card's chance is its colour's chance divided by the number of cards in that colour. Odds update as stock and prices change; the odds shown when your purchase is accepted are the odds that apply.
Provably fair. Before you pay, the machine commits to a secret seed by publishing its SHA-256 fingerprint. Your own seed and the pack you grab are mixed in, and the secret is revealed after the draw, so anyone can recompute the result on the Provably fair page. This proves the result was not changed after you paid; it does not guarantee that software or price data are free of errors.
Published vs. actual. The Provably fair page shows, for every machine, the odds shown at each purchase next to how often each colour actually came out and the real average value per pack. We publish it so you can check us.
Shipping, condition & returns
Requesting a shipment. Up to 5 cards per package from the Shipping page. Cost: $12 per package plus, for each card, 5% of its value with a minimum of $6, for sourcing, inspection and insurance (Vault Club members pay only the per-card fee), shown before you confirm. Once requested, the cards can no longer be sold back or listed.
Timing. We buy each card for you and inspect it, so typical delivery is 2–4 weeks in Israel and 3–6 weeks internationally from the request. Tracking appears on the Shipping page when the package is dispatched. Import duties and taxes outside Israel are paid by the recipient.
Condition. Ungraded cards are pre-owned single cards. Near Mint means minimal wear, not perfect: slight edge whitening or light surface marks are normal. The most noticeable flaw decides the condition. Graded cards carry the grade given by the grading company, whose opinion we do not control.
Damage or loss. Every package is insured for the value of its cards. Report damage within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the package and cards (this does not reduce your legal rights). We will replace the card or credit its value.
Returns. Pack results cannot be returned for change of mind, a value below the pack price, or market movement. A card that is counterfeit, a different card from the one listed, or below the stated condition can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a replacement or full credit. Market purchases may be returned within 14 days if the card is not as described.
Vault Club membership
Price and billing. $19.99 for each 30-day period, charged from your Pack balance or Withdrawable balance when you join and automatically every 30 days after that. Gift credit cannot pay for membership. If your paid balance is too low on the renewal date, the membership ends and we email you.
Perks. While active: $25 of gift credit when you join and at each renewal; no $12 package fee on card shipments and free shipping on shop orders; boosted odds on the weekly free pack (published on the Club page); double XP on paid packs; +3% on the sell-back rate of cards pulled while you are a member; priority handling of shipments. Perks may change with 30 days' notice; a change never shortens a period you already paid for.
Cancelling. Cancel renewal any time from the Club page. You keep the perks until the end of the paid period. Because the $25 credit is delivered immediately, a period already started is not refunded, except where the law requires. Self-exclusion stops renewals.
Physical products (Mystery Pack)
What you buy. A sealed Rare Vault Mystery Pack holding 10 authentic Pokémon cards: 9 cards plus 1 hit. A hit is a card of a rarity above a regular holo rare (for example ex, V, VMAX, GX, full art, illustration rare or higher). Some packs contain high-value chase cards, but no specific value is guaranteed. Which cards are inside is random; card values vary and are not guaranteed. Packs are independently assembled by us from authentic cards and are not an official product of The Pokémon Company.
Physical only. Mystery Packs are shipped sealed. They are not opened on the site, cannot be sold back, and are not part of any machine or its odds.
Price and payment. $20 per pack plus one $12 shipping fee per order, whatever the number of packs (up to 10 per order), shown before you confirm. Paid from your Pack balance or Withdrawable balance; gift credit cannot be used.
Delivery. We dispatch within 3 business days. Typical delivery is 3–10 business days in Israel and 1–3 weeks internationally. Import duties outside Israel are the buyer's.
Cancellation and returns. You may cancel an order before dispatch for a full refund to your balance. After delivery you may cancel within 14 days of receipt if the pack is unopened and still sealed, as the consumer protection law allows; return shipping is yours, and a cancellation fee of up to 5% of the price or ₪100, whichever is lower, may apply. Opened packs cannot be returned except for a missing or damaged item, reported within 48 hours with photos.
Age. Shop purchases are for account holders aged 18 or older.
Verification, anti-money-laundering & payouts
When we verify. We verify identity (photo ID and a live selfie through our verification partner) before your first withdrawal, before shipping cards worth $1,000 or more, and whenever the law, our payment partners or suspicious activity require it. We may also ask for proof of address or source of funds.
Payouts. Withdrawals go only to a bank or payment account in the same name as the verified account holder. Minimum $10. Requests are reviewed within 1 business day; first withdrawals and withdrawals soon after adding credit may be held longer for security review. We may refund to the original payment method where appropriate.
What we don't allow. Money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions evasion or using Rare Vault to move money. We may refuse, hold or report transactions as required by law, and keep records for at least 7 years.
Responsible play
Rare Vault sells collectibles, and every pack delivers a real card. Opening packs is still exciting and it is easy to spend more than you planned. Decide a budget before you start and never use money you need for essentials.
Your tools (Account → Limits): a daily, weekly or monthly deposit limit, effective at once when you lower it and 24 hours after you raise or remove it; a break reminder after a session length you choose; self-exclusion for 30, 90 or 180 days or permanently, during which you cannot add credit, open packs or buy on the market, but can still withdraw, ship your cards and contact us; and account closure at any time.
Under 18s. Rare Vault is for adults only. Age is checked at sign-up and again at verification; suspected underage accounts are suspended.
Getting help. If you feel you are losing control, use self-exclusion and talk to someone you trust or a professional support service. We can send you your full transaction history on request.
Privacy
What we collect. Email, display name, shipping address, payment confirmations (card details are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store them), verification results from our identity partner (we do not store ID photos on this site), and your activity on the site (purchases, draws, listings, limits).
Signing in. You can sign in with a one-time email code, a password, or your Google account. Passwords are stored only as a salted scrypt hash; we can't read them. With Google sign-in we receive your name, email address and a Google account ID, and nothing else; we never get your Google password. You can stop using Google sign-in at any time by removing Rare Vault from your Google account's third-party access page.
Why. To run your account, deliver cards, prevent fraud, meet legal duties and send account and order emails. Marketing only with your consent; you can unsubscribe at any time.
Sharing. With our payment, identity-verification, email, hosting and shipping providers, only as needed to provide the service, and with authorities where the law requires. We do not sell personal data.
Retention. Transaction and verification records for 7 years for tax and anti-money-laundering purposes; other data deleted on request or when no longer needed.
Your rights. Access, correction, deletion and portability. Write to privacy@rarevaultcards.com.
